Choir

Sundays

The choir sings in the 10:00 am Mass from Michaelmas (September) through Trinity Sunday (usually in early June), as well as most major holy days—including the Holy Week Triduum. The choir’s repertoire encompasses such diverse music as plainchant, Renaissance polyphony, nineteenth century choral works, and the great heritage of Anglican cathedral music.

Rehearsals

Weekly rehearsals are on Thursdays at 7:30 pm from September through early June and provide choir members with a regular opportunity for musical education, fellowship, music-making, and a good laugh. Our choir room features a beautiful grand piano, individual lockers for each member, and the Music Director’s office adjoining. The choir also rehearses at 9:00 am on Sundays prior to the 10:00 am Mass.

Evensong

Choral Evensong is sung at 5:00 pm on the first Sunday of every month, October through May. Led by the adult choir and the priest, this service of sung Evening Prayer includes the Magnificat and Nunc Dimittis canticles, psalms, hymns, and anthems. The church is filled with candlelight, and the songs and prayers soothe us at the end of the day, strengthening us for the week ahead.
