Annual Pledge and Tithing
Each fall, the Stewardship Committee sponsors a pledge drive, asking parishioners to make a pledge for the following year. These pledges help the Vestry build next year’s budget. St. Michael’s budget funds our worship, music, and education leaders and activities, office staff, as well as utilities and property maintenance. Pledges can be paid in a single gift, or they can be paid throughout the year with automatic bank payments or regular cash or check offerings. Fill in the pledge form and send it into the Church Office, or drop it into the offering plate on Sunday.

Giving proportionately means offering a percentage of your income with the goal of “tithing”—giving 10 percent of your gross income. The so-called “modern tithe” has you dividing this share among all charities. Begin your stewardship journey where you are able, and aim to increase that percentage each year. If giving 10 percent seems daunting, please consider starting with a pledge of just 1 or 2 percent of your income. And if you are already working toward the goal of giving 10 percent, we hope you will increase your pledge each year.
